This is Rucha, 20 years old, always going through some crisis. In her pseudo-free time, she likes to read any biomedical engineering book that satiates her nerdy soul. Her passions include biophysics, psychology, and saying random philosophical sayings to her uninterested friends. She also loves dancing, especially making annual dance videos to ‘Stayin’ Alive’ by Bee Gees. She is also involved in societies like DU Gender Equality, DU Engineering Society, and International Engineering Alliance. Not to forget, she loves taking up even more activities and then complaining about how she does not have a life.  On a sappy note, she can’t believe she got elected as team leader by such a competent and charming set of people ;-;

Luke Guerin is 20 years old. He enjoys anything to do with engineering, tech or machinery. This has led to many exploded electronics components, poor analog synthesizer related financial decisions, and a car restoration project which is yet to have a functioning handbrake. In
the past he has worked on sites fixing industrial boilers and in a lab setting working on the research and development of dialysis machine cassette check valves. He is the captain of DUCC, the TCD rock climbing society. This has led him on climbing trips around Ireland and Spain.

This is Shana Ngai! She is 21 years old. She loves engineering and science, especially biology and that is why she decided to study biomedical engineering! She loves to play cricket and hockey and recently started pole fitness, it is harder than it looks! Shana has worked as a sports coach every summer for the past few years and really enjoys watching people progress and develop their skills. Shana doesn’t like to be idle. During the first lockdown, she ripped up the decking in her garden and built a patio. Building the patio made her realise how much fun using a
pickaxe and diamond saw is (she claims she is not a maniac!)

Hello! This is Ross King and he is twenty one years old. He loves science, especially astrology. He’s a Taurus-Aries cusp, with Ascendent in Virgo. What does that mean? Well according to Google[1] It means that he’s “pushy” and “selfish,” so he thinks he’ll make a great addition to the
team.  He’s excited to learn about cardiac stenting and stent crimping in general. He hopes
to gain insight from clinicians about this process. Hopefully by the end of the semester, the group will have a product which takes the user’s needs into consideration and produces great quality stents.

Jack Murphy is a rock climber, aspiring biomedical engineer, ex ice hockey player, and part time New Yorker. He is incredibly interested in the fields of tissue engineering and cardiac regeneration. In his spare time he enjoys creating websites and various other coding projects as well as pretending he knows how to play rugby while kicking a ball around Pheonix Park with his flatmate.
